The Chamber held its first seminar on the Portuguese Budget and EU Tax on January 17th. The Chairman was the eminent Tax Barrister Mr Philip Baker. The event was held jointly with Queen Mary College, London University’s Centre for Commercial Law, headed by Tom O’Shea.

This event is the first of a new range of events to assist business in keeping up to date.  The Chamber was fortunate to have had such an expert panel of speakers from Portugal especially for the afternoon.  The chairman, Philip Baker said that this was the first time he had seen an oversubscribed tax lecture.
