Christmas Reception
at the Chris Beetles Gallery
This year’s Christmas Reception took place at the Chris Beetles Gallery, St James’s, London. This was a special event with Members and guests invited to a private viewing of ‘The Illustrators 2006 – 25th Anniversary Exhibition’. A variety of full-bodied Portuguese wines (supplied by Wines of Portugal), and delicious canapés were served.
Over the last 25 years the annual Illustrators exhibition has become essential for collectors and enthusiasts. Last year over 5000 people from all over the world visited the gallery to see and buy the best examples from over 200 years of illustrative art. This year’s show will be the biggest ever, featuring over 1000 pieces of affordable art that will take you back to your childhood.
Artists featured include E H Shepard, Arthur Rackham, Edward Ardizzone, Emma Florence Harrison, Ed Sorel. Additionally, there will be significant groups by Heath Robinson, Ronald Searle, Mervyn Peake, Giles, H M Bateman, Mabel Lucie Attwell, Arthur Watts, Margaret Tarrant, Bill Papas, Edward Ardizzone, Rowland Emett, Michael Foreman, Helen Oxenbury and many more. www.chrisbeetles.com
