We have pleasure in inviting you to our annual Portuguese Chamber Gala Dinner which will be held at the Royal Thames Yacht Club, Knightsbridge, on Monday 20th October, in the presence of HE The Portuguese Ambassador, Mr António Santana Carlos.

The Gala Dinner is a superb evening and our main social event of the year. This year we are fortunate that our guest of honour and speaker will be Mr Zeinal Bava. Mr Bava is the CEO of Portugal Telecom. Zeinal joined PT Multimedia as CFO in 1999 and has had various roles in the PT Group. Zeinal developed a vast experience in the PT Group, having been CEO of PT Multimedia, up until its spinoff, CEO of TMN and Vice-President of the domestic wireline business.  Earlier Zeinal has been the Director and Relationship Manager for Portugal of Merrill Lynch International, Executive Director of Deutsche Morgan Grenfell and had the same role with Warburg Dillon Read. 

Zeinal has seen the change in the world and the convergence of Multimedia, communications and entertainment.

Last year’s our Gala was very successful; being both a convivial and social opportunity for members and guests to meet and talk in interesting and exclusive surroundings. It is also the Chamber’s major fundraising event of the year and by taking part you will be supporting the Chamber in its role of promoting Portugal-UK business relations.

Tickets for the Annual Gala Dinner are £100 each for non-members but we have with a reduction for individual members and their partners to £90. This will include a pre-dinner Champagne Reception, and table wines and port wine at dinner.
