Geoffrey is a dual British and Irish national. After studying law at Birmingham and York and starting his legal career in Belfast and the City, he moved to Portugal. He has been living and working in Lisbon for 18 years and is registered as an English solicitor with the Portuguese Law Society. He specialises in advising UK residents on their Portuguese investments, including their tax and real estate matters. In order to deal with the high demand for advice on the very favourable tax regime in Portugal (the Non Habitual Tax Residence or NHR Programme) he has formed an experienced bilingual team who provide the full range of advice for NHR applicants, from the preliminary advice to the advice on the filing of the first NHR tax return and all of the tax, property and ancillary advice required in between.

Having built a successful book and contract magazine publishing business in Portugal, with offices in Lisbon and the Algarve, in 1996 she sold the business to the London-based Hemming Group and returned to London. She then continued her career in magazine and book publishing, working in senior roles at Archant Specialist Media, Virgin Books, and Bath-based publishers Merricks Media.
Christina joined the Chamber Council in 2006 and became the Chamber’s General Manager in February 2009.
