The Portuguese Chamber held its Annual Gala Dinner on Tuesday 25th October 2016 at the prestigious Royal Automobile Club in Pall Mall in central London.
The Gala Dinner is our main fund-raising event of the year, which is a black tie function beginning at 7.15pm with a Champagne Reception. Now firmly established as a highlight of our Events Calendar, the dinner is a popular and fun event which attracted 145+ guests last year – who were a wide cross section of senior executives from Portuguese and British companies engaged in trade between the two countries.
Our guest speaker was the new Portuguese Ambassador to the Court of St. James, Mr Manuel Lobo Antunes. Previously the Portuguese Ambassador in Rome, he arrived in London on September 1st. Mr Lobo Antunes has also been Portugal’s Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs and Portugal’s Permanent Representative to the European Union. We anticipate a lively speech from him about Portugal’s place in the post-Brexit landscape, and its ongoing relationship with the UK.
