UK Membership Categories

The Portuguese Chamber has five levels of membership in the UK: Individual, Standard, Sustaining, Corporate and Patron Status.

Individual Membership of the Chamber is designed for those whose companies have no links with Portugal and therefore will not join the Chamber, but who wish to join the Chamber as individuals to benefit from the events and networking.

Many of these Individual Members are Portuguese-born business people working at a senior level in the UK's leading companies.  The PCBN database has over 1,000 contacts and is the leading Lusophone business network in the UK.  The PCBN also works closely with other informal networking organisations like the Anglo Portuguese Society and the Centro Portugues de Estudos.

After attending two PCBN events for free, individuals are then encouraged to become Individual members to allow them to continue to attend events for free.

Individual Membership costs £90 + VAT per year.  A maximum of 100 Individual memberships are available.

Individual membership ensures free access to PCBN events and guarantees advance notice and access to all other Chamber events held exclusively for members throughout the year.

There are also invitations to free networking events in the UK and Portugal and members can use the Chamber logo on correspondence.

Corporate Status (by invitation only)

Members enjoy a mixture of special benefits, combining prestige with practical business help. They are listed on the Chamber letterhead and prominently on the Chamber website with the right to free editorial, the priority to sponsor events, and they may also be invited to join the steering committees that direct our flagship conferences.

The Chamber holds a series of exclusive Corporate Status events through the year, open only to Corporate members from the UK and Portugal. Examples of past events include black tie dinners hosted by the Portuguese Ambassador in London, and receptions at the House of Lords and the House of Commons, with specially invited speakers and guests to facilitate high-level networking.

Corporate status members are invited to join the Portuguese Chamber’s Council, which meets four times a year. These members play an important role in supporting the Chamber and their special contribution is acknowledged by the Portuguese Ambassador at the AGM in London.

Recommended for the British-based offices of international companies with significant business interests in Portugal.

2018 – 12 month Corporate subscription

Patron Status (by invitation only):

A select number of companies are Patron Members of the Chamber, which is a special category created for companies with whom the Chamber has a long term and very close working relationship.
